Elements Book

Publication Design, Printed Matter

This project is an extensive table of periodic elements, in the form of a pocket-sized book. It uses shapes, colors, and typography to explain the element’s families, which becomes the chapters.

Target Audience:

This book is primarily for high school and college chemistry students as a reference or study tool. It is meant to be a useful research that’s fun to look at and memorable through stylized design.

Process:

To inform my design, I interviewed several chemistry students and teachers for insight to make the content as accurate and helpful as possible. Small details such as the type of paper and color of the spiral binding are important touches to achieve its final form.
